About Suzi

Suzi Roberts is 25 years old and a native of Pawleys Island, South Carolina.  She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Public Relations and Political Science. Suzi is currently attending Tulane University's School of Law and will graduate in 2021.  She is professionally trained in many styles of dances and is a sought after master teacher. Miss Roberts was honored to be named Miss South Carolina 2017 and had the privilege of competing at the Miss America competition where she placed in the Top 10, was a finalist for the Quality of Life Scholarship and was recognized as the National Miracle Maker for raising over $100,000 for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals- the most of any contestant in the country.  With pageantry as her vehicle, Suzi has become an avid child advocate through her personal platform "Children's Advocacy: Ensuring the Rights of Every Child" and has developed skills as an experienced public speaker. She served Richland County Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children as a Guardian ad Litem for 3 years before relocating to New Orleans where she continues to volunteer with the organization. Prior to taking on the job of Miss SC Suzi was the public relations spokesperson for Justice 360- a legal services non-profit organization working to reform policies and practices in capital proceedings.

Suzi moved away from home at the age of 12 to pursue formal ballet training with the International Ballet of Houston under the tutelage of Richard and Jill D'alton. While with IBH, she was a soloist in numerous dance festivals and guest appearances throughout the country and was recognized nationally at competitions like the Youth America Grand Prix, New York City Dance Alliance and World Ballet Competition. During her formative training years, Suzi was privileged to train at some of the finest academies in the world  including the Walnut Hill School, Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and the American Ballet Theater with her formal ballet training being completed at the Houston Ballet Academy in the highest level of their professional training program. Miss Roberts was chosen to represent the United States at several International Ballet Competitions including the Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland and the Helsinki and Moscow International Ballet Competitions.

When she reached college, Suzi traded in her pointe shoes for pom poms dancing for the Pom Squad at The University of Texas at Austin, the nationally ranked Carolina Girls Dance Team at USC and then last season as an Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader. During her time with the Falcons, Suzi commuted over 24 hours a week to practices, performances and appearances all while maintaining a schedule as a full-time student at the University of South Carolina. Suzi was honored with the opportunity to become a spokesperson for the Falcons' Symetra Heroes in the Classroom program, allowing her to speak on the importance of mentorship while recognizing outstanding teachers throughout the state of Georgia. She also had the privilege of starring in several short, educational videos for the NFL PLAY 60 initiative.
