Suzi Roberts

Suzi is committed to advocating for the rights of children as well as to efforts to improve the overall well-being of children. She partners will several local, state level and national organizations to educate the public on the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences, to influence meaningful policy reform, to strengthen child abuse prevention efforts, and to raise funds that will directly serve children. Suzi has lobbied for proposed legislation like SC Senate Bill 211 and the Early Childhood Common Agenda. Suzi also serves the children of South Carolina and their families directly in many different capacities. Suzi's child advocacy efforts and activities include but are not limited to:


  • Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children/ Guardian ad Litem (Richland County, SC & Orleans Parish, LA)

    • Representing abused and neglected children who are in the state’s custody in family court proceedings, advocating for rehabilitative services for the children and their families and helping to find a permanent placement for children whether it be reunification, adoption or kinship care.

  • Children's Trust of South Carolina

    • Child Abuse Prevention Partner/ Pinwheels for Prevention Program

    • Legislative Committee

    • Supporter of the Early Childhood Common Agenda (in conjunction with the United Way Association of SC, the Institute for Child Success and Representative Rita Allison)

    • Adverse Childhood Experiences Program

  • Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

    • National Miracle Maker

    • Raised over $100,000 in just three years (the most in Miss America history!)

    • Host of several fundraising events like the annual Pawleys Island Week of Miracles, the Miracle Master Class Series and the Search for South Carolina's Most Miraculous Pizza

    • Top 5 Miracle Maker within the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization (2015, 2016)
